The hardest
habit for me is to have confidence in myself as competent, effective
learner. I have a habit of doubting my
thoughts and ideas. I worry that what I
have to say is not important. I tend to
write and rewrite because I am not sure if what I am trying to say is being
said correctly. My confidence is one
thing that holds me back in my education.
The easiest habit for me is to play.
I tend to put off what I need to do school wise and have fun. I have great excuses for doing this, but in
the end it just leaves me racing to get my papers in before the deadline. I think that if I worked at it I can become
more confident at school by playing less.
I also, am a professional procrastinator. :) Most college students are. You should not second guess yourself on your writing. Try to say what you mean and mean what you say. If you prepare yourself to write and think over in your held (while for example taking your children to the park) an epiphany will come! I just wrote a reallly bad paper for diversity. After thinking on it a for a few days (one day before it was due) I had an epiphany and chose a more valid topic that was easier for me to express myself through. Writing is simpler for me if I plan it out in my head, but not with pen and paper.
